School canteens have an impact on school life in the support of teaching through proper nutrition and health practices. From improved concentration and academic performance to better behaviour, a regular, balanced meal can help your child's education. In order to facilitate our pupils to make more healthy food choices and to develop healthy eating habits, it is important to our school that we meet the food standards required for our pupils. 

The school canteen environment also plays an important role within the broader school environment – that of reinforcing knowledge, skills and behaviours about healthy eating and lifestyle which are taught in the classroom.

School meals are £2.45 per day (£12.25 per week). Your child's account must be in credit before they book a lunch. For further information about payment for school meals, please visit the Scopay page linked below.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Due to rising costs, we are no longer able to maintain the lunch cost at £2.45. From September 2025, the cost of a school lunch will increase to £2.80 per day (£14 per week).

We request all families with children of school age who are attending a state funded school to apply for free school meals. Only those in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits will be awarded with entitlement.
