There are many ways to celebrate the spookiness of Halloween. Thank you to Liz and the team for transforming our dining hall!
The services provided by food banks may vary from area to area as they react to the needs of their community to provide help and support to local people in crisis. Your donations will mean Luton Foodbank can fill the gap until poverty levels are reduced.
A massive thank you for all the donations for the Luton Foodbank Harvest Challenge.

The Year 5 pupils visited one of the oldest sites of continuous Christian worship in Britain. It stands over the place where Alban, the first martyr, was buried after giving his life for his faith over 1700 years ago – more than 200 years before St Augustine arrived in Canterbury. The building’s amazing mixture of architectural styles bears witness to the many centuries of its life, first as a monastic Abbey and now as a Cathedral.
There is a reason why animals are a large part of the national curriculum for science. Learning about other species helps us understand more about ourselves as humans and the world we live in. It teaches us how we are similar and different from our animal cohorts; our body structure might be different, but we have the same basic needs for survival. They help us to learn where we have come from and how we as a species have evolved and survived.
We find that animal encounters help provide a memorable experience, particularly when learning about science. Animals help pupils get close to many curricular topics, providing a great learning hook to discover more. It stimulates pupil curiosity and encourages questions while providing a foundation for future knowledge.
We love what ZooLab had to offer, from minibeasts to giant snakes. Their animal encounters were perfect for our Year 6's memorable experiences!
Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of our sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral. This is a period of time for reflection in response to the death of the Sovereign.
The official date of the State Funeral is Monday 19 September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and schools will be closed on this day as a mark of respect.
We hope you have all enjoyed a well-earned rest over the summer, the weather has been glorious and the sun has certainly made us smile. It was lovely to see you all back to school eager for the exciting year ahead. Also a huge welcome our new Year 3 children.

And its back - Farley Sports Day 2022!
Sports Day was a success with pupils from all year groups participating in a variety of activities. This is a great way to allow students to work together in teams and build leadership skills; it also helps to encourage and inspire the students to join in with sports.
Thank you to all the staff who helped, the parents that attended and the pupils for performing to the best of their ability. And a special thank you to the weather!
