  • Polska Piekarnia trip

    As part of their learning of the Polish language, the Year 6 children visited the local Polish bakery on Dallow Road. This was an opportunity for the children to use what they have learnt by placing an order in Polish - how amazing. The children not only enjoyed the experience but definitely enjoyed all the sweet treats!

    The winners from our Science week competition plus our Science ambassadors had the great opportunity to visit the London Science Museum. There were interactive galleries, exhibitions and a workshop for the kids. It was an educational day out with lots of fun for our budding scientists. 

  • Billy's Band Musical Concert

    Today we had Billy's Band visit our school to perform a musical concert for Year 3 & 4. There were a variety of instruments played such as a violin and saxophone. It was very entertaining!

     
  • The Queen's Jubliee Lunch

    Her Majesty The Queen becomes the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. To celebrate this moment at Farley the Catering Team and HCL created a special sweet treat for our children and staff.

  • World War II at Farley

    Bringing the learning to life, what a fantastic experience with a wide-range of activities and information to engage our Year 6 learners. Our children were deeply inspired by the day - it really brought the war to life!

  • Drumming Workshop with Jeff Rich (Status Quo)

    Ex-Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich headed up the drum and percussion workshop for pupils at Farley Junior Academy. The star put budding musicians through their paces with demonstrations on his kit as well as chatting about his life on the road with Status Quo.

     

    Pupils were also treated to a history of the drum and learned how technological changes through the centuries led from animal skins being stretched out over hollow logs to modern plastic skinned drums.

     

    As a finale some children had the opportunity to join Jeff on selected percussion instruments and there was a question and answer session during which youngsters quizzed Jeff about drums and the music business. It was thoroughly enjoyable and interesting workshop. All the pupils loved it!

  • Skip Beatz

    We have had the pleasure of Skip Beatz visiting our school and participated in our exciting outdoor assembly, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

     

    Skip Beatz is a unique form of high intensity exercise entertainment, who provide live performances at music events, school performances and motivational presentations and Skip Beatz Skillz workshops. The aim of this visit is to encourage our children and adults to be more active, and promotes skip for health and fitness.
